Story of a pir and a temple

few days back few days back, some old acquaintances knocked @ late evening. they asked for a parchi(donation-slip) for a langar of a pir nearby my home. i was a bit surprised. i think i should immediately get to the point and the reason behind my reaction will be obvious.
it was a long back.. i used to play @ the ground YSC nearby. This pir kinda thingy was used to get relieved by most of us as it provides a bit of hide from the road. two three seasons later it was used as a wicket to avoid the need of a wicketkeeper. the place was prone to encroachments by nearby ladies who used our ground for their dung-cake warehouses. soon we shifted to Janta school playground(which is adjacent to crematory of the town a story itself although othertime).
my cousins have a place just opposite to this pir thing. and we used to dump the beer bottles and other things behind this pir.
somehow this pir has just become a sacred place. i saw it was pretty decorated as well. a lady from the neighbourhood has seen this pir riding a blue(?) horse arround the place in midnight. to cut a long story short, pir has become a bit famous off late.
to be frank i have no reason to explain this. but its fame can be dangerous for my cousins' place which is just opposite to this thing.

BUT the TEMPLE.. i know the hypocricy. while travelling NH-ONE 20-25 minute down the dilli border one can see a sleek black tower kindda thing which is Kali Maa Ka Mandir(KMKM). also been erected in recent times. one of my friend who is from nearby village took me to it. i saw a goon kindda thing who was Pujaree..(lol, forgive me friends). a lot of people come barefeet or walking 3 KMs on saturday, its distance from the town. i was lying at friend's tubewell, where some uncle came arround. and he told me the story of the place.(friend was away). that this goon was made to run away from his native where he was caught supplying narcotics. he took this place, collected donations , and despite scams, built this KMKM thing. the place is still used for this narcotics business besides the income of the KMKM.
yeasterday i was watching News24 headlines which among Bhihar floods, Nuclear supplier group(NSG) and Dhoni, also said SHANI ke KAAL SE BACHNA MUSHKIL.
i got my answer. Nobody can help India. LOLz.

JUDGEMENT DAY...???

this diary stuff has turned to be a sports(cricket?) column most often. There are a lot of other things happening. Which are quite significant too. Like Mush leaving office. wait is it some newspaper?? no.. i talk about things which my heart feels about.. Kashmeer.. i don't like kind of repression is the way. religious extremism is something i never approve off. its difficult to support the agitation there. its equally difficult to support police firing. the problem with most Indian Govts is that they are laid back. and they always try to sweep the matter under carpet rather than dealing with it. most often, congress govts specially are undecided over matters. usually they avoid taking any kind of decisions. anyway politics is something which turns me off these days. i am very much pissed with this but can't help it.
What else then.. financial matters.. i dont think i have enough skill over there to comment over them. page 3 and things like splitsvilla are such turn off than my saliva turns bitter with just the mention of the name. i am perhaps retarded. soon i think we'll have a reality show about mother-son turning incest. does that leave a bitter taste in your mouth? fuck this stuff.. i just watch only one scene. and it left such taste in my mouth.
and i am back to the JUDGEMENT DAY. cricket..lol.. i have made a lot of observations. and i am quite sure that if anything really terrible doesn't happen tomm. India will capture series tomm itself. i may talk a bit more after the match or the series... but Mahela was looking hurt yesterday after the loss. he said... we overattacked.. huh.. i dont agree with his observation. it was a good track to bat. they will be confused. i think it will be foolish on their part to ask Mendis or Murali to bowl flat. Get this.. SL may be playing at India's hand probably now. when India won CB series, this is the mistake Oz made infact. suddenly they were confused if to attack or to defend. Punter said after first final that guys are disappointed of shot selection. actually they got out playing attacking shots off good balls. so.. what different Sri-Lanka is going to do. we'll see.. we'll see..
Gambhir's batting was careless.. i heard about drift in the team.. i dont thing this is the right thing.. there can be internal conflicts. but if you are in playing 11 then you must give 100%. i dont think he was 100%. raina batted well, he was more sensible in later part of innings. but his way of starts baffles me. two mishit fours. both pulls. later he avoided those. Mendis finally spared Yuvi.. because he was out before. Rohit batted well. and i think despite bad form, he can be a core player of next WC. Badri looked in control before just one false shot got him out. i think he should remain in team.
Vintage Zak was one big differnece between teams in bowling departments. the way he is getting Sangakara, reminds me of RSA tour. he got Smith out 3-4 times very cheaply off very similar line n lenght we'll see we''ll see.. i am becoming a fan of thushara. he is an attacking bowler as well as a handy bat down the order. but i think they have too many problems up the order.
i call this judgement day because i feel its more difficult to beat SL @ home than Oz. they have atleast better tracks. anyway Premadasa IS a good track.

Historical Day for India

i remember the day i went to get Ghee from the Kaushik Dairy back my place on 15th i guess. body building is Bhai's hobby and that day he was quite happy as akhil kumar had qualified for QF in bantomweight. I informed him about Jitender Kumar (who) had also qualified. He was almost jumping by them. As i was turning back, he told me that on 18th we can have a medal in wrestling. he said"tagda chora sae"(guy is strong). i just could not find his schedule on Doordarshan that day. But wow.. today he has won bronze . thats great news. well i dont want to comment on my hunch as it went pretty badly with akhil. he had already beaten world no 2 @ olympics qualifier and here he had beaten no1. so he was a strong contender. almost had iconic stature. anyway he succumbed under pressure and he must had felt like zidane. but we have another boxer in SF now. that big news. it sounds great that 4 medal hopes were from haryana (nazafgarh is mentally haryana lol with strong roots n same tongue).
but the point i am makin is that this is the beginning of a new era in indian sports.  one can compare it 1983's WC which changed the perception about cricket in India. Its a very very happy day in my life for sure. and jitender fought bravely. i am happy with that. The thing is aint the ring.. its the play.. lol..
this bravery is something new with Indian sportsmanship. there r things which change generation by generation only. and we are witnessing this only. I still remember (vividly infact) when Yuvraj hit 84 @ debut and the way Zak bowled Stephen Waugh off a yorker @ crucial time. It was a big moment when we saw that some guys are taking initiative. they dont fear. same goes with NatWest when Indians overcame the fear of winning. lol..
now this fear of winning which has been a regular feature of all Indian sportsmen.. akhil is latest casualty. these things change with generations. one major difference with this generation is that it doesn't feel bad about itself. I believe that is the biggest cause of fear of winning. You dont think urself as a winner and just that's why u fear winning. its all in subconscious. this generation doesn't have this problem and thats why i am in favour of young team for 2011 WC. we have seen what does this fear do in 2003 final. that was the only problem from my point of view. you have believe first ad then only you can perform. simple.

coming to cricket: India somehow could not manage to loose today. lol.. but from my point of view.. we have big positive from today. if that doesn't make me optimistic then i am still not all that pessimist about the series. how they'll play spin.. was the biggest question.. i have some idea now.. Gambhir know what mendis bowls.. today we saw Virat Kohli could also read him. It always seem to me that Raina has no sort of game plan thing so he should sit out next match. Dhoni should bat up the order so could Badrinath. i am always a fan of him since i saw him playing against RSA'A' for India'A'. he faced a world class attack and he knew how to pace his innings. kohli was beaten only once by mendis and badrinath was never beaten infact. murali has always seemed pale to mendis. Dhoni can manage mendis we know. yuvraj is neva gonna learn playing spin we know that also. but we know if he applies himself then it doesn't matter where or whom he is playing. so we have somewhat predictability associated with things. the batting problems of sri lanka are not visible while winning. if indian pace attack bowls well like today, india is surely a match though sri lanka has slight advantage. we'll see.. we'll see.. but zak was vintage zak today. but he needs to be consistent. i think he is going to bowl well in the series. it seems that he is in form. we'll see.. we'll see...

yesterday a sms poll in cnn ibn showed that 59% of people are saying kashmir shud be set free.. it seems they are not aware of the exact situation. but it tells a point of changing mindset of india.. who is not insecure.. we are turning into a confident nation.. cheers guys...

Jannat

We watched this movie when it was released on  a nearby hall. I get to remember this movie(shit) just because i watched "End of Days" (wo bhi Hindi me) yesternight.
I always thought Charli's Angels was the worst i had ever seen but End of Days belongs to league of its own. this is once in long while kind of thing. this kind of stuff demands spacial and natural talent. You can't cook this in the kitchen. thankfully hindi Dubbing makes things a little more comical. so i watched it all.
Jannat is a funny movie. There is a superstitious fellow(who is deliberately characterized somewhat dumb so that guys can identify with it..lol). He breaks a glass in a shopping mall where he get to see his 'queen'. then in one song he buys a Honda Accord, they go to shopping malls and the hell they just keep buying clothes. then they move to republican of SA where he offers paki captain Rolex 'Ghadiyan'(watches). he specially mentions Rolex Ghadiyan just in case if the audience miss what is Rolex. Given the mindset, Rolex could be manufacturers of refrigerators or microwaves. Then his heart changes again and they become poor family. means they have a smaller swimming pool, smaller penthouse, only designer furniture. The 'queen' who sings in strip club(no stripping only club). once she gets angry and breaks all crockery which i guess should be insured..lol.. then our guy gets bored of his small pool and 29" TV, and decides to book again(match fixing). he is dumb so he cann't have moral values. interesting explanation. bure kaam ka bura nateeza.. so he dies as much sarcastically.
now queen is again poor. she returns to India. Without claiming insurance of our King. Now she is poor so she goes shopping in big baazar only.
conclusion- a movie becomes a hit if the audience identifies with it. no matter what.

burning kashmir

the valley is burning. well again. i am just not liking it at all.
the problem is that a very sensitive (non)issue has become a matter of power show offs among the leaders. everybody is using it for their political advantage. i am not trying to be pro-muslim(again people have exclusive rights for their interpretations of words). Be it the leaders of valley or BJP or the Sangharsh Samiti.
I am disgusted the way Hindus were expelled from the valley. That was the right time to take actions by Hindu organizations. but it was repressed by pseudo-seculars. yes they are. they are not secular. they mean politics when Mulayam and Lalu says the ban on SIMI should be lifted. or when they compare RSS to SIMI.  its plain nonsensical.
same way the BJP means politics with these agitations. I have been to Jammu once in 2005.  It was alright. but still i used to avoid crowded place.
this row of incidents has caused intense polarization both at jammu and kashmir. many lives have been lost and curfew in whole of valley since i guess 1995. imagine whole machinery is closed. no work. only agitations. police firing. people dying. causing further unrest. leaders of neither side are trying to diffuse the situation rather trying to take advantage of it. ITS A SORRY SIGHT.
now we know its a non-issue on both sides actually which has snowballed into such huge unrest among the communities. the core of the problem is that WE ARE LACKING DIALOGUE MAN.
there is lack of trust as well as political motive on both sides. its very sad. i am not sure where this is leading now because i am not a support of stupid patriotism. the whole valley is burning and it cannot be solved like this. i am not talking about morality of agitation there but innocent public is dying in police firing.
from my point of view muslims are talking about risk of changing the demography of the valley and then i want to ask question about expulsion of hindus from the valley. hasn't that changed demography? but who'll bell the cat.. is the question. its a DEADLOCK. reason LACK OF DIALOGUE. forces never win a region. this is my reply to patriotism(cynicism).
wonder where its leading.
and yana i am still sad for you too.
I am a li'l sad today. obviously becuz yana had to leave  KTK. she is one of the finest personalities i know. no non-sense, professional, DOWN TO EARTH. thats what i like most about her except that shez is also a woman[;)]. i am really glad to discover that i am not a gay frankly. i really really liked you (well i am getting too personal) yana. i was very sad when Akki told that you(again, i am sorry) are out. but you(once again and not sorry) said when you realized that you couldn't make it then you jumped to save everybody's time. n i know you will win if next time you get in. i hope you'll do so becuz that's another thing i expect from your attitude. actually personally speaking i am someone who usually have trouble while holding nerve. i have learnt a great deal while only watching you. it seems i can't stop praising you. but rest some day else.(maybe tomorrow.lolz)

i'll be discussing other thing soon which i am just not bcuz mood is switched off.

Tuesday aug 11, 2008

i am happy @ my regularity(or is this the lack of it:P). second post comes after the third test lol..

it was clear which way it was going on the very first day. remarkable failure of middle order against Mendis was surprising. his bowling was a treat but I think Indian batsmen are laid-back against spin these days. thats the only reason warne got 4 or 5 scalps in an innings for the first time in india last series. its not a good sight honestly. i firmly believe that seniors should make way for new crop. its not replacing like in 1 dayers. get ganguly out first. i am a big fan of him but i feel something is wrong with him. yes he is great fighter but he only performs when he is back to wall. it shows a character but we need firing players. pro-active not re-active. clear cut.
sachin and laxman will stay. they are most talented. i am not very optimistic about one dayers too. the young crop is susceptible against quality spin. i think we are upto one more demo of same.
Mr. Bindra got gold today. the day actually started on a high. i watched it LIVE. when he hit last shot for 10.8.. i just jumped out of my seat and my sis thought i've gone nuts once again in the day(4-5 times daily). she attributes it to my frustration. i just keep talking to myself. lol..

i have been to some BPOs recently. everything goes fine. then they just pull the rabbit out hat that i need to sign a bond..:o.. clever people. now i m been told by experienced guys (@ giving interview ) that this is hoax n i should had said yes.

i really get pissed off things. so many people pro-claim wisdom by which i understand means you are a fool. when people are more wise at your matters then it does mean you are a fool. now somehow i have realized that this is in fact a good things. when you are fool then it is easy to 'act' foolish. which i tell you is the most enjoyable thing. i love getting crazy. now people have have interpretation of your words according to their own choice. i firmly believe that this 'right of interpretation' should be legalized under the law of freedom. just like my right of free expression.

uncyclopedia the content free encyclopedia is hot favorite here.  take a look... how it describes no 1.

One day I will kill him. Then, I will be 10.

The number 11 on the number 1
amazing stuff...

sunday august 03,2008

i dont want to comment on publishing a diary but i am publishing it because of its not-so-personal and yet personal & yet public-bent on the content nature.

two events i noticed today. one is Razzak who is a carpenter and another is cricket.

Razzak, is semi-old-aged artist(he is). he came to fix up our rear bathroom door and sofa. came in the morning and after inspection, he said he'll come 2 hours later. i met him yesterday at his workplace. i remember once before i had met him and and he hadn't been interested in our lill work and i had a lill word with him. but this time, i being more diplomatic, greeted him with respect at his workshop. he recognized me immidiately though some people at my place whom i visit regularly were failing this time(year). he came later in the evening. i was finding his behaviour a bit odd. a bit circumspect. he is a fine(and perhaps only one here) worker. i found him a bit unsure. well that was a just some feeling i had no justification of. he was a bit over-friendly then he used to be. soon i found out why. twice he used the word 'Bharat' and 3-4 times he used 'Bhagwan'. now Bharat could be understood (just maybe) as he might be reading hindi newspaper too often(i frankly just guess). but he said 'Bhagwan aaj garmi karvayega'. i immidiately got his point. he was a bit unsure. unsafe. ours is a predominantly Hindu population with very very few muslims. i had some friends in my primary school. 2 girls and a boy. one girl was a bit old and other girl and boy were of same age. this girl was very sharp at studies, boy was average and the old girl(lol, old girl in primary school) possibally studied only till 8th standard. the sharp girl(i mean the sharpest of the lot) who stood high positions at district level was admitted to Govt Girls School in 6th standard. she was friends with my cousin sister(same age) who is remarkably poor at studies. 3-4 years back i came to know that the girl got married(i dont know if she graduated or not but she was a science student for sure i know.) she used to visit my cousin and we had a sarcastic smile when she told us that she had a child. the guy was struggling in 12th standard 4-5 years back. that was the last update about him. but we were very comfortable. not quite like razzak this evening. and i felt very strange when muslim boys of our class in college used to support pakistan. i was something i could not imagine. those 3-4 guys used to share some friendship i guess just because of they are minority-->insecurity. so as i grew old the perception about the religion is changing in my mind.
we were same at primary school. then we went to better school and they made conservative choices. my cousin is still doing fashion designing despite her 'talent'. it seems they live in different world. now increasingly the muslims are getting radical as one can see that very educated and young muslims are taking part in anti-social activities. their increasing isolation (even here) and kind of ghettoisation. the kind of confidence(the lack of) and unsurity i saw today got me thinking for a while. this is a big social move i reckon whose results will be seen once new generation of muslims appears. if razzak is unsure today, i expect his grandson to be radical. and if even that is radical like this, its a worring thing. things change too quickly very often. it seems i think too much. but certainly i didn't like it today. i remember a song which a poor Paki channel plays here..Ye Hum Nahi.. its about terrorism. nice song and when i watched it i though umm.. oo really... Ye Hum Nahi.. i guess thats enough comment on that.

cricket. so india won this time. it always seemed one horse race once 37 runs lead of the first innings and sehwag-gambhir partnership. 250 at max could had been, just could had been chased. although again a late innings collapse but i think it was a one horse race. I always like watching Ishant bowling. the way he bowled to samaraweera and dilshan was remarkable. he was consistently beating them. i saw all 9(if thats right) overs on the trot he bowled to ponting at sidney. and finally got him caught at second slip. thats why i always like test cricket(if its not a flat track). that gives the true measure of the player. thats like XXX rum and one day is like lager beer. like sehwag. such good player and i feel he is at home in tests and one days get too big for him. there he tries to score quick. poor guy. like yesterday, when vaas got sachin. you just cant see it in one dayers or T20.
i always believed the real challenege is to win the series now. given the heavy defeat in first test india played to potential. it is a comprihensive victory. but do they have the fire to win series?? capability-wise they should. but first we should see the track.
SA have won series. pietersen never looked so patchy to me. still he got 94. SA got great new ball attack. i rate them best in the world. India should be rated No2. OZ come third and that is their problem. wait and watch, it'll be more prominent.
